Savitt Partners has landed two educational tenants, at 218 W. 40th St., a 166,000-square-foot boutique office address that’s now 100 percent full.
Ever-growing Touro College, which recently purchased a 67,000-square-foot condo unit for dormitory use at the new One West End, signed for a 49,300-square-foot direct lease on four floors at Savitt’s building, to be used as classroom space.
The deal includes conversion of half of the space from a sublease. JLL’s Rob Martin and Amanda Bokman, along with Cushman & Wakefield’s Richard Bernstein, repped Touro College.
Meanwhile, Long Island Business Institute (LIBI) is coming to 219 W. 40th St. for the first time with a lease for 24,500 square feet on two floors.
Terms weren’t disclosed, but the average asking rent at the location is $55 per square foot. Savitt’s Brian Neugeboren, Nicole Goetz and Bob Savitt acted for the landlord in-house in both transactions. NGKF’s Justin DiMare repped LIBI.
